Originally formed at Pitlochry on 22 October 1910 with four
clubs, with the first matches played on 5 November. However as the council of
the SFA didn’t sanction its formation until 17 December, it decreed that all
games taken place so far (‘2 or 3’) be cancelled, although the league were
exonerated for allowing the games to take place. Some games between the
member clubs were played in the new year, but it’s uncertain whether these
were under the auspices of the league. The league was wound up at the end of
the season, but reformed for a couple of seasons in the 1920s. |
